Poem-chair

In Leistavia, poetry, science and philosophy are all intermingled, a truly interdisciplinary space. The poem on the chair reads:

chance
outpaces natural selection

random y t snow

The first part of the poem is a found poem, a poem that exists elsewhere than poetry, in this case it was a Scientific American article title. The second part captures the intertwining of randomness and pattern in nature.

Why are the words on a chair? I have been working with ideas about spatial and object related poetry. The feather, a bosun bird or tropic bird tail feather was a gift from my cousin on Lord Howe Island.
